Executive Director
Elaine Jeffries, Executive Director at Rock Cove, first joined Rock Cove Assisted Living as a caregiver in November 2000. Her strong interest in supporting the philosophy of assisted living and eagerness to learn led her to assuming additional responsibilities as a Medication Aide and Lead Personal Services Assistant. She was later promoted to Resident Care Coordinator, Activity Director and Assistant director. In 2009, Elaine began providing short-term on-site assistance to Directors at other managed properties, then filled the role of Regional Director of Operations for six years. Her strong communication and team-building skills made Elaine the ideal fit.
Her focus areas included customer, employee and community relations, quality assurance and general compliance. In 2016 Elaine returned to her home building at Rock Cove Assisted Living as their Director.
Elaine is a certified instructor for CPR/First Aid, and Mental Health & Dementia (Washington).
She had previously been certified to teach Geriatric Wellness, Fundamentals of Caregiving (Washington), and Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care.
Her public service includes volunteering for schools, EMT work for Skamania County EMS, Hospice, the Chamber of Commerce, and Medical Reserve Corp.
Administrative Assistant
Candi Whitehead, Administrative Assistant, was born and raised in Stevenson Washington and moved away to pursue education, grow professionally and start a family. During her years away, she gained experience in office administration and arts. She returned to Stevenson to care for her aging parents. She joined the Rock Cove team in March 2022 as Life Enrichment Coordinator; well equipped with many years of experience in guiding groups in a variety of activities and crafts and her genuine care and compassion for the community she serves.

Bethany Gatewood, Health Services Coordinator, LPN
Born and raised in the Columbia Gorge, Beth has been raised with a great respect for the area and surrounding community. She moved away to explore learning opportunities in healthcare and eventually pursued her passion for caring about others by enrolling in Nursing, participating in community outreach through music. Then, driven by her compassionate nature, became a hospice nurse before becoming the Health Services Supervisor at Rock Cove where she is able to utilize her experience in healthcare to support our aging population, and give back to the community that supported her.
